UP Roadways fined Rs 7,500

The District Consumer Redressal Forum has imposed a fine of Rs 7,500 on the General Manager and Regional Manager of Uttar Pradesh Roadways Corporation for causing harassment to a passenger on Saturday.

According to prosecution sources,a Roadways bus passenger,P K Mittal,had filed a complaint and alleged that on June 12,2002,he was dropped at a jungle instead of the Roadways stand — causing inconvenience to him.
