UP,Rajasthan cops hunt for abducted Agra trader

The police teams on Friday arrested a member of the gang,Ram Singh Yadav,whose job was to recce and locate the target. He was on the payrolls of the gang for last two years and used to get a salary of Rs 6,000 every month. Yadav was employed with the Agra businessman till six months ago and helped the gang carrying out the kidnap successfully.

The combing operation is still going on in the ravines by the joint police teams of Agra and Dhaulpur district of Rajasthan. The operation is led by Agra DIG Asim Kumar Arun and SP of Dhaulpur Rahul Prakash.

The Agra DIG said that Ram Das Agarwal,who owns flour and oil mills at Saiyan area of the district,was kidnapped by the dacoits when he was on routine evening walk.

The Dhaulpur SP,Rahul Prakash told The Indian Express that the police teams are still chasing the gang.

Yadav confessed to have targetted six such businessman for Gujjar gang from Madhya Pradesh,Rajasthan and UP in last two years.

The DIG said that Agra businessman was kidnapped by the gang from an isolated place.

The Station Officer (SO) of Saiyan police station,RP Singh said the dacoits have not contacted the family members of Agarwal for ransom.
