Truck crushes two persons to death in Lucknow

A mud-laden truck crushed to death two employees of the Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) at the site of an under construction flyover on the Lucknow-Faizabad National Highway in the Gomti Nagar area late on Wednesday night.

The deceased — Dharmendra (25) and Keshav Pandit (55) — were sleeping on the flyover when the incident took place. Residents of Chinhat area,they used to work as chowkidars on the site.

“Mukesh,the HCC supervisor,has got an FIR lodged against the unidentified driver,” said Gomti Nagar SO Akshay Kumar.

As the flyover is incomplete,only trucks belonging to HCC will be allowed on it. So,a truck from HCC was probably involved in the accident,he added.
