Approved a proposal to provide STD facilities in telephone sets installed at the residences of the members of the state Assembly and Legislative Council.

THE CABINET decides

*Approved a proposal to provide STD facilities in telephone sets installed at the residences of the members of the state Assembly and Legislative Council. With this,the members can also access the Internet. The government,however,has made it clear that the telephone/cellphone bills should not exceed Rs 6,000. This facility will come into force with immediate effect

*Members of both Houses now have access to “Zero dialing” facility in telephone numbers installed at their residences in Lucknow and concerned constituencies

*Approved a proposal to give life-long family pension to the husband/wife of either the present or former members of both Houses after their deaths

*Approved a proposal to extend guarantee to UP Cooperatives Sugar Factory Federation for contracting cash credit limits of Rs 1,414 crore from the bank for the current season. It waived the fee levied on extending the guarantee to the cooperative bodies

*Approved Multiplex Promotion Policy 2010. It will be valid till March 31,2015. Besides the municipal corporation area,the government aims to promote construction of multiplexes in Noida and Greater Noida

*Hike in the fee of Amicus Curiae,who appears before the Allahabad High court and its Lucknow Bench. The government will give Amcus Curiae Rs 3,000 per appearance — at par with the fee of Additional Chief Standing Council

*Cleared a proposal to adjust UP State Cement Corporation’s employees,whose services were retrenched in the past. The decision has been taken in the light of a High Court order. The employees will be adjusted in government services right from the date of their retrenchment

*A land of 44.929 hectare area — owned by the Agriculture department and located in Shivari village of Lucknow district — will be transferred to state Urban Development department for the implementation of solid waste management project

*Approved a proposal for the issuance of an ordinance regarding amendment in Sections 29-A,64,31-A and 104 of the UP Cooperation Samiti Act,1965. Soon,a bill will be placed in the Assembly in this regard

*Approved the proposal of giving liquor licence (Indian Made foreign Licence) to Sashatra Seema Bal on the pattern of ITBP and other central paramilitary forces
