Prashant Gupta also batted responsibly and scored 42 runs for the team. On behalf of Punjab,left-arm-spinner Rajwinder Singh bowled with good vision claimed five wickets giving away 65 runs in his 20.5 over spell which featured five maiden overs as well. Right arm off-spinner Sumit Sharma took three wickets. In reply,Punjab were at 92 for two in 26 overs at stumps on day-one. Volleyball trials THE district level junior girls volleyball selection/ trials will be organised under the joint auspices of the Regional Sports Office,Lucknow and the District Volleyball Association from 10.00 am on October 30 at KD Singh Babu Stadium,Lucknow. As per a press relase from Regional Sports Office,Lucknow,girls born after 1.1.1992 may appear for the trials along with a duly certified age certificate from the principals of their respective schools/ colleges. Those selected at the district level trials will have to appear for the regional trials to be organised on October 31. Basketball tourney THE Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University,Kanpur is organising the North East Zone Inter Varsity Basketball from October 29 to November at its campus.
