SP MP & 160 others booked for June 4 violation of model code

According to the FIR, when the counting was underway on June 4, the accused blocked the road in Ballia and violated the model code of conduct.

Around 161 people, including newly elected Samajwadi Party MP from Ballia Sanatan Pandey, have been booked for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct and prohibitory orders on the counting day (June 4), police said .

According to the FIR, when the counting was underway on June 4, the accused blocked the road in Ballia and violated the model code of conduct.
The accused were booked under sections 143 (unlawful assembly), 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of duty), 188 (violating prohibitory orders, and 341 (wrongful restraint) of the IPC.
