Second accused in Rinki murder case identified

A team of Kanpur police raided Jitendra’s residence,but did not find him there.

Rinki’s younger sister,who is hearing and speech impaired,had identified Rajveer as one of the assailants. Due to her physical disability,she had been unable to provide a proper description of Jitendra.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Kanpur East) Kush Har Saurabh said Rajveer has confessed to his crime. After questioning Rajveer,the police conducted a raid at Jitendra’s residence.

The two men had come to Kanpur on May 30 to attend a wedding in Shyam Nagar.

Noting Rinki and Neetu alone in the house on the night of May 30,they had entered the house by the terrace.

They had dragged the girls to the ground floor,locked Neetu in a room,raped Rinki and then murdered her.
