RLD MLA joins BSP

Rashtriya Lok Dal’s sitting MLA Abdul Waris Khan,who represents Thana Bhavan Assembly seat of Muzaffarnagar district, joined the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party in the presence of BSP general secretary and PWD Minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui in Lucknow on Thursday. Siddiqui said the BSP will field Khan from Thana Bhavan constituency in 2012 Assembly election. Khan said he decided to join the BSP because he was impressed by Chief Minister Mayawati’s policies. RLD spokesperson Anil Dubey said Khna had left RLD about six months back. “Party president had denied him the ticket,” he claimed.
