Among the seven seats, three- Mainpuri, Kannauj, Firozabad have been announced for SP, whereas BSP will be contesting from one seat and two seats are for RLD leaders Ajit Singh and Jayant. This comes as a return of favour from Congress for the alliance.
He said BJP leaders have been spreading lies about fulfiling electoral promises while nearly Rs 12,000 crore has not been paid to cane growers yet by state-owned and private sugar mills in the west region.
"Some of the smaller regional outfits are perhaps more comfortable dealing with the Congress because of the arrogance of the BJP leadership — the way they communicate, the way they deal with their own allies," Jayant Chaudhary said.
Stating that Dalits all over the country are “very angry with the BJP”, the RLD leader said, “There is visible anger, especially in the latest case on how they have handled the Supreme Court matter regarding the Atrocities Act.”
Singh asked the organisations to form a joint committee with RLD, create district units and small groups of workers, who will go door to door and make people aware of the “advantages” of smaller states.
