Rajnath visits polling booths,voters unfazed

The BJP national president,Rajnath Singh,visited six polling centres in Ghaziabad on Thursday. The voters,however,seemed unmoved by his visit.

Its nice to see a leader of national repute visiting polling booths,but his real test will come later,after the counting starts, said Meenakshi Gupta,a voter waiting in the queue.

Talking to his supporters,Singh claimed that BJP is going to sweep the Ghaziabad seat without much effort. Not only the Ghaziabad seat,NDA will win at the Centre too. We need your support and best wishes, he added.

The BJP leader had to give up his plans to visit rural areas including Muradnagar and Dhaulana after reports of problems being faced by voters at many polling centres poured in. He went to the centres to ensure that the voters are able to cast their votes, said S P Singh,Singhs media advisor.
