Power generation from garbage in Uttar Pradesh

“Installation of units for producing power from garbage is the topmost priority of my department,” said Azam Khan.

Uttar Pradesh government is giving top priority to power generation from garbage as it would also help in disposal of waste materials, Urban Development Minister Azam Khan informed the state Assembly Monday.

“Installation of units for producing power from garbage is the topmost priority of my department,” he said in reply to a question.

Khan said he was working actively in this direction as disposal of garbage had become a major problem, especially in big cities.

“We are in discussion with the Jindal group … I also met some people in Mumbai on Sunday in this connection,” Khan told Dharampal Singh (BSP), while appealing to members to assist him in this task.
