No arrests in Baldeo Vihar double murders yet

The Lucknow police have failed to make any arrest in the double murders that took place at Baldeo Vihar Colony under Cantt police circle in Lucknow on Friday evening.

Four teams have been formed to trace three brothers and their fatherGanga Singh Yadav,Ram Lakhan,Babu and their father Ram Dutt named in the FIR. The bodies were found in the courtyard of the residence of Ganga Singh Yadav. All the accused and their relatives are absconding.

Police claim that the murder was fallout of a dispute over a piece of land in Mohanlalganj area.

On Friday evening,a local informed the Cantt police about a gunshot he heard from the house of Ganga Singh.

When police rushed to the spot,they found the bodies of Shri Ram Soni and Ashok Giri with multiple injuries lying in the courtyard.

The injuries were caused caused by bullets and a blunt object,said a police officer. Shri Ram had several criminal cases lodged against him at the Cantt police station.

According to sources,Ganga Singh,Shri Ram and their friend Dinkar Pandey were involved in plotting of a land in Mohanlalganj area. They had purchased and sold three bigha land. A couple of days ago,Shri Ram and Ganga Singh had a tussle over sharing of revenue generated from the sale of plots.

Ganga Singh moved the court and procured a stay over the sell of remaining land.

It is suspected that on Friday evening,Shri Ram and Ashok had gone to Ganga Singhs house to resolve the matter. During the heated argument,the accused attacked and killed them, said in-charge of the Cantt police station,PP Singh.

The police added that Ashok had no involvement in the land business. He accompanied Shri Ram only to resolve the matter.
