BJP national president JP Nadda on Saturday held a meeting with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, newly elected party state president Pankaj Chaudhary and other state office-bearers in Lucknow and discussed the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the state.

After addressing the 21st Convocation of King George’s Medical University, Nadda, also the Union Minister of Health, reached the party’s state headquarters and took feedback on the progress of the SIR from party leaders and the state government’s viewpoint from CM Adityanath.

Nadda also discussed the upcoming inauguration of the newly constructed Rashtra Prerna Sthal in Lucknow by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 25. Adityanath briefed Nadda on the ongoing preparations for Modi’s December 25 visit, it is learnt.

The Chief Minister said this landmark project, being dedicated to the nation on the birth anniversary of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, will emerge as a powerful symbol of national consciousness, cultural heritage and pride. The 65-foot statues of Syama Prasad Mookerjee, Deendayal Upadhyaya and Vajpayee installed at Rashtra Prerna Sthal will inspire future generations to understand and imbibe the ideals of national unity, integral humanism and Atmanirbhar Bharat, the CM added.

He also asked the state unit leaders to ensure that all the eligible voters are mapped during the SIR exercise, sources said.

Nadda asked the party leaders to make people aware about the significance of Veer Bal Diwas, which commemorates Guru Gobind Singh’s young sons’ sacrifice for their faith, on December 26.

State president Pankaj Chaudhary told Nadda that the state unit was running all the programmes and campaigns as per the expectations of the central leadership. He added that the party will celebrate Vajpayee’s birth anniversary on December 25 at the booth level.
