Ministers brother booked for assaulting junior engineer

Police have registered a case against the brother of minister of state for agriculture Manoj Pandey for allegedly beating up a junior engineer (JE) of Rae Bareli Development Authority (RDA) Saturday.

Police have registered a case against the brother of minister of state for agriculture Manoj Pandey for allegedly beating up a junior engineer (JE) of Rae Bareli Development Authority (RDA) Saturday.

JE Prakash Chandra alleged in his complaint that Anurag Pandey,a RDA contractor,visited his office along with his associates and assaulted him as he had recommended to stop the payment of bills of Pandeys firm Krishna Enterprises.

During inspection,he had found the quality of work allotted to the firm as sub-standard,alleged

Chandra.

Manoj Pandey,however,disowned his brother and said,He is my brother but he lives separately and I am not responsible for his deeds. I am aware that a case has been registered.

Manoj represents Unchahar assembly seat in Rae Bareli district.

The JE gave his complaint at City Kotwali police station.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajesh Pandey confirmed about the case registered against Anurag Pandey.
