KU student commits suicide

Twenty-seven-year-old Archana Dwivedi allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a hook on the ceiling at her home in Bazarkhala on Saturday. Archana was pursuing her post-graduation from Kanpur University. The incident came to light in the morning when victim’s father Ravindra Kumar Dwivedi did not get any response despite knocking her door several times. He broke open the door and found his daughter hanging. A suicide note has been recovered in which Archana said she was solely responsible for taking the extreme step. She did not mention any reason for ending her life.
