Kathak Moments

Stage is set to celebrate the Earth Hour today by switching off lights,but the Ravindralay stage was electrified by darkness a day before on Friday evening as performers dazzled the audience on the opening night of the two-day Rashtriya Kathak Utsav 2010. It began with ‘Vasundhara’ (above) presented by Rashtriya Kathak Sansthan,Lucknow,followed by ‘Black Coffee and Srishti’,(left) directed by Chetna Jalan of Padatik Dance Centre,Kolkata. Saturday evening line-up comprises dance by Ritwika Som Chowdhry from Kolkata and Nalini-Kamilini duo from New Delhi. Show begins at 7PM
