The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court on Thursday restrained the companies engaged in mining to use heavy machines while excavating sand from riverbanks in Uttar Pradesh. One Sripal had moved the court alleging that the state has granted the mining lease illegally and heavy machines are being used at the banks. He had submitted a CD showing machines being used for mining on the banks of Hindon in Ghaziabad. The Division Bench of Justices Devi Prasad Singh and SC Chaurasia directed the Principal Secretary (Mining) to file personal affidavit on both charges.

Kalyan not to return to BJP
