Man sets self on fire,dies
Lucknow: A 40-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by setting himself on fire at his Jalalpur residence in the city on Sunday. The deceased is identified as Hari Pal.
His wife Raj Kumari and three children — aged between two and seven years — also suffered burns as Pal reportedly ran from one corner of the room to another,after setting himself afire. The condition of Raj Kumari is stated to be critical.
The police suspect that Pal took the extreme step due to poor financial condition. However,no suicide note has been found. A native of Mal locality,Pal was staying in a rented house at Jalalpur area under Talkatora police circle for the last one year.
“Pal died on the spot,” said Sudhir Pal Dhama,in-charge of the Talkatora police station.

18 injured in communal clash in Rae Bareli
Rae Bareli: At least 18 people were injured in a clash between members of two communities over the route of a religious procession in Parsadepur town in Rae Bareli district on Sunday.
The trouble erupted when some persons objected to the route of the religious procession,the police said,adding the two sides indulged in heavy stone-pelting.
