Honour killing in Muzaffarnagar

Two men allegedly killed their sister and her boyfriend after they found the couple allegedly in a compromising position in Khatauli area of Muzaffarnagar on Tuesday.

The incident came to light when the girl’s mother Afsari and other villagers found the bodies late last night.

One of the assailants,Iftikhar,was arrested on Wednesday.

He had confessed to have killed the couple with the help of his brother. Muzaffarnagar SSP Vijay Prakash said,”We suspect it to be a case of honour killing.”

Afsari stated in the FIR that her married daughter Chhoti (30) had come to visit her a few days ago.

Chhoti left home in the morning yesterday but did not return home till evening.

Later,the bodies of the girl and her lover,Farmad,were found in a nearby field. Afsari suspected that her sons,annoyed over the relation of Chhoti with the youth,murdered them.

Afsari claimed that they had threatened Farmad several times earlier.
