Haryana win in final

Haryana defeated Gujarat by six wickets in the final to bag the top honours in the 9th Dr Shakuntala Mishra memorial inter-state cricket for the visually impaired at KD Singh 'Babu' Stadium,Lucknow on Sunday.

Batting first,Gujarat scored 198 runs losing two wickets in the given 20 overs.

Skipper Hitesh Patel scored an unbeaten century for the team. In reply,Haryana romped home after attaining the set target in 19.2 overs with six wickets to spare.

Former captain of the Indian cricket team Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi was the chief guest of the final match.

While Sanjeev Dalal was adjudged ‘Man-of-the-match’,Dinesh Kumar was declared ‘Man-of-the-series’. The organisers inform that bats signed by legendary cricketer Kapil Dev were also presented to the winner and runner-up team players during the prize distribution function.
