A gunner of former MLA Gendalal was found murdered at Aliganj police station area in Etah district Thursday evening while he was going to his native place on a bicycle.
Police said the incident took place in the evening when the gunner,Bishan Dayal,56,who was posted with Etah Reserve Police Line,reached near Farrukhabad border.
Etah SSP Ajay Mohan Sharma said Dayal was in plainclothes and was not carrying his service gun. He had suffered a gunshot on his chest. His mobile phone,bag and cycle were found at the place of incident. Prima facie,it does not appear like a case of robbery, Sharma said.
The SP said Dayal had left Gendalals bungalow in Aliganj town in the evening. He was from Kaimganj area of Farrukhabad.
