Engineer commits suicide

An executive engineer of UP Irrigation Department posted at Gonda district reportedly committed suicide by consuming insecticide at his official residence in City Kotwali police station area on Thursday evening.

Gonda Additional SP (ASP) Sanjai Kumar told The Indian Express that no suicide note has been found from engineer Kesari Nandans place. The family members including his wife have also arrived here from their native place at Bansi area of Sidhhartha Nagar district. They,too,expressed ignorance about the possible reason behind Nandan taking the extreme step,he said.

The SHO of the City Kotwali,Bharat Yadav said he got the information about the engineers suicide from the district hospital where he died during the treatment around 8.30 pm.

Kesari Nandan (56) was staying alone at Irrigation colonys official accommodation. The neighbours rushed the engineer to the hospital when he was found unconscious in his room.
