EC seeks report on Dutt’s college visit

The Election Commission has asked the Lucknow District Magistrate to send a report on actor and Samajwadi Party candidate Sanjay Dutt’s visit to National PG College in Lucknow on Monday at a time when an examination was being conducted inside the college.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer Amrit Abhijat said the commission has taken cognizance of the incident on the basis of media reports. On getting the DM’s report,the commission would make an assessment whether Dutt’s visit to the college was in violation of the model code of conduct.
