Domestic cricket a good opportunity for me

Pacer Sudeep Tyagi was confidence personified on the last day of the UP teams probables camp organised at Lucknow for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The team will be leaving for Indore tomorrow for participation in the tourney. Tyagi feels that domestic cricket is now just the right platform for him to knock the doors of Team India once again.

Talking to The Indian Express the 24-year-old said,I am feeling good after recovering from injury. I was doing well in the Ranji Trophy last season taking 18 wickets in three matches,before a shoulder injury put me out of action. I had to undergo a surgery in UK in January and the rehabilitation programme followed that. I still feel that had I not got injured then probably I could have played against West Indies this year.

Tyagi who had finished as highest wicket-taker in his Ranji debut season with 41 wickets,said that for him the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the Ranji Trophy matches thereafter are like an opportunity to knock the doors of the Team India once again.

My strength is my speed and I will never compromise on that. The rehabilitation period has acted like a rest period. There is a feeling of freshness in me. I have fully recovered and I am fit. I have toiled hard at the nets and have also played in a couple of tournaments held recently like the JP Atray cricket tournament and the Corporate Trophy. I will go all out in domestic cricket as it is good platform to show your talent and grab the national selectors attention. With hard work,I could make it to the Indian Team once again, he explained.

Regarding Uttar Pradesh teams bowling attack,Tyagi said that state team features one of the best pacers and spinners in India and hoped that the team will perform well in the upcoming tournament.
