Singh left for Chitrakoot on Thursday afternoon to take stock of the situation. According to Singh,he was visiting the place to scrutinise the anti-sabotage strategies adopted by senior officers during the operation. “We lost four of our men. Singh said the company commanders of the 4th Battalion of PAC — RA Arya and Ram Pravesh Rai — played a significant role in the operation.

Constables Ram Kishun,Shailendra Singh,Sanjay Singh and Ajab Singh of Chitrakoot SOG and Rajesh Singh,Santosh Kumar and Ramesh of STF had chased the dacoit while he was running towards the thickets.
