A teenage couple reportedly committed suicide in Nigohan police station area of Lucknow by consuming poisonous substance together at a secluded place near Gautamkheda village. Sub-Inspector Randhir Singh said the girls marriage had been fixed somewhere else by her family members and,prima facie,this seems to be the reason behind the extreme step taken by the couple.
LU suspends two students
The Lucknow University (LU) on Saturday suspended two MA students for allegedly beating up another student and threatening him by firing in the air last Friday,University proctor Pawan Agarwal informed on Saturday.
Neeraj Pandey and Vishwa Pratap Singh have been suspended with immediate effect, Agarwal said.
