Changes in SGPGIMS statutes get Guv nod

UP Governor B L Joshi has given his approval to the changes in the statutes of Sanjay Gandhi Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS). According to the changes,the term of the SGPGIMS director will now be five years instead of the earlier three years. Sources said the matter had been pending with Raj Bhavan for a few months. Incumbent director of SGPGIMS Prof R K Sharma,whose term was to end this month,will now continue to hold the post according to the changed provisions.
