The Faizabad and Ambedkar Nagar district administrations have been issued fresh alert following inputs from the state Intelligence Department about some groups mobilising locals in the districts ahead of the Ayodhya title suit verdict. The state government, which was focussing on strengthening security in and around Ayodhya and other sensitive districts, has now decided to also deploy paramilitary forces in Ambedkar Nagar district.
A senior official in state Intelligence Department said the fresh inputs talked about some groups asking residents of the villages in Faizabad and Ambedkar Nagar districts to assemble at a particular place on September 24,when the verdict is to be announced.
Such sensitive villages have been identified and the details have been forwarded to the government, said the official.
Meanwhile,DGP Headquarters ordered the deployment of 10 more companies of Central Para-Military Forces (CPMF) and 13 companies of PAC in Faizabad. Since 1992,five companies of CPMF have been deployed at the disputed site in Ayodhya. Faizabad has been divided into six sectors and an ASP-rank officer has been deputed to supervise the security arrangement of each sector.
Deepak Kumar,State Secretary (Home),said so far the state government has received 52 companies of CPMF and they are being deployed as per the requirement.
DGP Headquarters, meanwhile, reviewed the security arrangement of the Allahabad High Court and Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court. While personnel of CPMF have been deployed in and around the premises of the Lucknow Bench of the High Court, the PAC has been given the charge of security outside the High Court building.
