Exhorting the party men to be prepared for the forthcoming Assembly elections in the state,Chief Minister Mayawati on Friday claimed the BSP government has performed well on all fronts and delivered to people despite the vindictive and partisan attitude of the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre.

Addressing a meeting here to mark the fourth anniversary of her government,Mayawati rebutted the charges of corruption on her government by the Opposition parties and narrated a long list of achievements of her government.

In her over 90 minute-address,the CM accused the Centre of either putting obstacles in the state’s development or not providing cooperation and financial assistance for various state projects. She alleged the Center’s contribution to the state or even for the Centrally sponsored schemes was delaying which hampered the development works. Mayawati on the occasion sought to dispel the apprehensions among her party men about the BSP tickets for the Assembly polls. “I have finalised tickets for all the 403 seats and I want

to assure that now no candidate will be changed.”

She said the BSP government has made a spectacular performance on all fronts -law and order, development, social harmony and on the front of public interest. “No government led by the Opposition parties in last 40 years was able to deliver to the people in a short span of four years as is done by my government,” said Mayawati.

Mayawati chose the occasion to settle a score with BJP chief Nitin Gadkari terming him as an ‘’uncultured’ person for the “derogatory” remarks he had made on BSP leaders during BJP rally at Varanasi on April 26.

Commenting on the BJP’s booklet — 100 scams of the BSP government — Mayawati said people of the state were prudent enough to discard it.

Mayawati also criticised Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for his comments on inadequate development in Bundelkhand. ‘’The BSP is not responsible for backwardness of Bundelkhand; we have only inherited it.” Mayawati blamed the Centre of inaction over the state government’s demand for Rs 80,000 crore economic package for development of the region. The Chief Minister today inaugurated development projects and welfare schemes worth Rs 2,000 crores besides releasing a booklet on the achievements of her government.
