Jewellery shop owner shot dead
A 26-year-old woman was shot dead in Lucknow’s Ghazipur area on Monday evening. The deceased,Ritu Sharma,was on her way home when the incident took place. She was taken to hospital where doctors declared her dead. “We have learnt that two youths who were seen talking with her while she was on her way home had shot her dead,” said ASP,Trans Gomti,Paresh Pandey,adding that the assailants fled the spot after the incident. The deceased owned a jewellery shop.

One dead,six injured in explosion
One person died while six others were injured in an explosion at a cracker manufacturing unit in Sitapur district on Monday. According to police,Jalaluddin died when a fire broke out at his residence and triggered an explosion at the cracker manufacturing unit being run at the residence.
