BJP to launch ‘Samagra Atalji’ project today

Vajpayee had a long association with Lucknow and represented the city in the Lok Sabha for several terms. BJP leaders said the compilation will inspire the Indian youth in the coming years.

After the launch in Lucknow,BJP district units and booth-level committees would also be involved in the collection of such materials across the state. BJP leaders said with the completion of the first phase of the project,an audio-visual edition will be released on December 24,the eve of Vajpayee’s birth anniversary.

The project was launched in Delhi in June. “Lucknow has a special attachment with Atalji and hence we are launching it separately here. Lucknowites will be appealed to help in the completion of the project by providing photographs,letters and videos of Atalji,” said Ashutosh Tandon,project in-charge in UP.

“We are identifying people,including politicians in UP,who are close to Atalji because they could be a good source of materials we require for this project,” Tandon said.

The project is being executed by Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini,an academy in Mumbai. All documents and videos would be copied by the academy and returned to the owners.

Apart from their distribution in public,the documents and videos would also be uploaded on the website of BJP and on http://www.atalji.org that will be launched very soon.
