The state government extended the date for submitting financial bids on Monday for the 1,980 MW super critical power project at Bara,Allahabad,tentatively to January 19. The actual date for submission of financial bids was November 30. It was rescheduled twice — first up to December 15 and then till January 5. Several reasons were cited for the rescheduling,including downturn in the industry and delays in the bidding for the Tilaiya Ultra Mega Power Project in Jharkhand.
