Banker commits suicide in Lucknow

A senior manager of Central Bank,Subhash Marg branch,allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Vikas Nagar area on Thursday

A senior manager of Central Bank,Subhash Marg branch,allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Vikas Nagar area on Thursday.

Anil Kumar Chopra (55) was living alone. No suicide note has been recovered from the spot.

It is not possible to say at present what led to this extreme step. We are presently waiting for his close relatives, said Jagan Nath Saroj,Station Officer,Vikas Nagar. Neighbours claimed that they last saw Chopra cleaning his car outside the house around 9 am. According to the police,when Chopra did not reach the bank on Thursday,his colleagues called him. With no response,one of Chopras colleague went to his house and discovered the body.
