Azam meets Mulayam,voices doubts

Disgruntled SP leader Azam Khan,who had revolted against the leadership over the Mulayam-Kalyan pact,on Thursday met SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.

During the meeting,Khan voiced the minority communitys apprehensions over the pact. Though Khan expressed satisfaction regarding the discussion,he put the onus on Yadav to come clean on the issue within the next few days.

I am satisfied with the discussions. Mulayam has assured me of clarifying my doubts in the next few days, he said. The SP chief is likely to clarify all doubts regarding the issue at the partys national executive meeting in Lucknow on Saturday.

The meeting came two days after Yadav publicly urged him to discuss his grievances personally with him rather than through the media. Subsequently,Khan made an emotional speech in Rampur on Wednesday,saying that he would meet Yadav.

Sources said SP leadership is considering his suggestion regarding candidates announced for Rampur and neighbouring minority dominated constituencies.
