This is a swan song of sortsno,artist Sharad Pandey is not calling it a day,but yes,it is the last time he is exhibiting his series titled Expressions.

This is the last time I am displaying these paintings and my next work would be a paradigm shift in terms of style and form, says the artist on the inauguration of the four-day exhibition at Lal Baradari premises of the State Lalit Kala Akademi on Tuesday evening.

This Arts College topper,who has besides painting prepared murals for MF Husain no less and been praised by President Pratibha Patil,says his work on exhibition is a fusion of realism with the surrealistic. There cannot be anything which is pure imagination. It has to be based on something real. Expressions comprises work that is a mix of tradition and muse, says the artist,who feels fortunate to have a corporate sponsor for the show. In a small town like Lucknow,sponsorship and sale of art is rare and I hope the trend catches up like in the metros, he hopes.
