Anurpiya pointed out that the main question is why the opposition was successful in spreading such kind of “false fear” in the mind of a section of the deprived.

Citing several steps taken by the Centre for the uplift of deprived sections, especially OBCs, many on the basis of suggestions from her party, Anupriya pointed out that there was no reservation for OBC in NEET examination.

Targeting the Samajwadi Party and the Congress, Anupriya claimed that her party is unlike others, who suddenly remember “PDA” and speak about OBCs’ situation only when they are out of power. “However, whether in power or not, Apna Dal has raised the issues faced by the deprived from Vidhan Sabha to the Parliament,” she said.

Denying allegations surrounding her letter, Patel said that it is not for the first time as she has been raising the issue of OBCs and said she has done so at all her party meetings and in the presence of the senior leadership in the past as well.

While maintaining that because of some issues such as appointment of 69,000 teachers has not yet been resolved for later she said that Apna Dal is not like those political parties, which forget about “social justice”, or PDA slogan when they are in power for four times in the state or despite giving support to UPA forget to raise issue of OBC reservation in NEET.

She added that her party is not like those political parties, who even when they were in power at the Centre, do not see that there is no reservation for OBCs in Sainik Schools.

Taking a jibe at Samajwadi Party and asking her party leaders to be cautious of their PDA slogan, Patel said, “Inka Samajik Naya kitabi hai, PDA ka nara satta prapti ka hatyar hai.. inse satarka rehne ki awashyakta hai” (For them social justice is mere bookish knowledge, while PDA slogan is mere weapon to get power.. need is to be cautious of them)

In an apparent reference to the SP, Anupriya asked party leaders to question some leaders if they would elect any other leader on ‘ PDA’ apart from “family members.”

About her letter being “not found suitable”, Anupriya said that the opposition is feeling the pinch, saying that their concern for “social justice” is merely “seasonal”.
Holding a copy of the constitution gifted to her by a party member, Anupriya said, “Be it while in Government or in opposition or on road, Apna Dal never stops raising the issues of the deprived.”
