Akhilesh cuts fleet from 40 to 8

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has cut down the number of vehicles in his cavalcade to just eight— from the previous 40 cars that accompanied Mayawati during her regime. While there will be only one Tata Safari with jammers in Akhilesh’s fleet,the remaining vehicles will be Ambassador cars.

Mayawati’s cavalcade had several SUVs,three jammer vehicles,three ambulances and a line-up of cars for her securitymen and other police and administrative officials who followed her cavalcade.

Akhilesh has also closed down the specialised hospital at the CM’s residence. The hospital had 10 doctors and hordes of other paramedics on duty. Four specially designed Endeavour SUV as ambulances were also stationed there.
