‘Z’ category security for new Guv

West Bengal Governor M K Narayanan has “Z” category security because of his background as former National Security Advisor,state Home Secretary Ardhendu Sen said here on Friday.

“The newly appointed West Bengal Governor falls under ‘Z’ category VVIP because of his background as former NSA which might have a threat perception. As such,he will be provided with necessary security as per facilities earmarked in ‘Z’ category,” Sen said.

To a question about the security of former Governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi,Sen said,“Mr Gandhi was not included in the ‘Z’ category VVIP.”
