There was a whiff of a fresh, woody smell in the air when the luxury brand Hermes launched a new perfume at Nilgiri room,Oberoi hotel on Wednesday. Le Voyage DHermes, the latest fragrance from the Hermes stable, produced by perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena, was uncorked in the presence of a select gathering co-owner Neelam Khanna (in the photograph),socialites Neera Nath,Aparna Chaudhary and Jean Philippe Collin,Regional Director of Hermes Perfume who flew down from Dubai, among them. Performance artist Anant Sharma interpreted the heritage of Hermes through a story of an old widow who lived in a dusty village and wove and painted a beautiful scarf that transformed her life. The performance was followed by a screening of a film by Eric Valli,a French filmmaker, which talks of the philosophy behind the ad campaign of the perfume. At Hermes our forte is to make fragrances that both men and women can share, shared Collin.
