A domestic help’s attempt to abduct her employer’s 3-year-old daughter ¿ a kindergarten student of South Point School was foiled after they got suspicious and took her to the police.

A domestic help’s attempt to abduct her employer’s 3-year-old daughter a kindergarten student of South Point School was foiled after they got suspicious and took her to the police.

At the Gariahat police station,15-year-old Salma Gazi confessed that the plan was hatched among four youths,one of whom promised to marry her if she cooperated.

“She was insisting on taking our daughter out,” said father Priyam Sengupta.

“First she offered to take the child to school and when we said the school was closed on Saturday,she wanted to take her to the market without any purpose. We became suspicious and contacted the police.”

Salma,who has been working with the family for three months,said she had recently met the youth,Rajesh Naskar,a pool car driver.

He had asked her to bring the child to Hindustan Park and promised to marry her and give her a share of the ransom,said Tarapada Dutta,

involved were identified as Laltu and Munna.

Salma has been taken into custody,a hunt is on for the rest.
