“We went to submit a deputation to the DM protesting against the police atrocities on the BJP supporters in the villages in Parui police station area. We told them that if the district administration keep on acting in a politically biased manner, we will have call an indefinite bandh and all developmental work in the district would be affected,” Mobdal said.

Mondal further said that he has been called to Parui police station where the “OC wants to discuss certain issues”.

TMC district president, Anubrata Mondal, meanwhile, said that BJP was coercing people to join and support the party. “The BJP leaders are going to villages and threatening people with dire consequences if they do not join the party. They are threatening people by saying that if they want they can bring central forces in the area,” he alleged.
