Six policemen and two passersby were injured,some of them seriously,when a police van skidded and overturned during heavy rain near Alipore zoo on Tuesday night.

Six policemen and two passersby were injured,some of them seriously,when a police van skidded and overturned during heavy rain near Alipore zoo on Tuesday night. The injured were rushed to state-run SSKM hospital. The policemen were on their way to join duty from the Alipore bodyguard line when the accident took place.
