State Industries Minister Nirupam Sen on Sunday refuted Union Home Minister P Chidambarams remarks that CPM will be nowhere after 12 months.
Speaking at the concluding day of the two-day CPM state committee meeting at Alimuddin Street,Sen said: The Union Home Minister is making such statements because we are opposed to some financial policies of the UPA government, which are anti-people. Moreover, the Left parties have organised a nationwide movement against the UPA for the anti-people policies. Let us see what happens after 12 months.
On Saturday,Chidambaram had said that the Left parties had been propagating the myth that 77 per cent of the people of the country had a daily income of only Rs 20. This is a myth that is being spread for the last three to four years by the Left parties in West Bengal.
