Monsoon revives,more rainfall due in Bengal

There is some good news on the monsoon front. The next week is likely to bring good amount of rainfall in most parts of the country,including West Bengal,ending a prolonged weak phase that has been the cause for much concern. “Today a low-pressure area has formed over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas of Odisha and West Bengal. It will move westwards across Odisha,Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh,” a Met department statement said.

The southern part of Bengal has not received enough rainfall this season,while north has been facing flood.
