A group of armed Maoists reportedly killed a man and his son for their alleged links with the CPM last night at a village in Purulia district. According to the police,at least 30 armed Maoists raided the Sindurpur village about 11 on Monday night and abducted Rishikesh Kumar (55),a CPM committee member,and his son Kashinath. The villagers found the abducted persons bodies which bore bullet wounds. Maoist posters were also found around their bodies,said Rajesh Yadav,SP,Purulia. Md Ibrahim,CPM district committee member and a resident of Arsah,said a group of Maoists had held a meeting in the village. Ibrahim said Maoists attacked as the police post at Mudali which is two km from Sindurpur was closed down two months ago. The security forces reached the village three hours after the incident,said Ibrahim.
