After achieving over 40 million hits on Youtube for his debut song Stereo Love in just eight months,Romanian DJ Edward Adrian Llie,better known as Edward Maya,has become a well-known name in the music circuit. The song,that released in 2009,has been produced in collaboration with his friend Eldar Mansurov from Azerbaijan. It has made it to the top 20 of various music charts in the US,Canada and the UK,and the 23-year-old has been touring the world since. Now,on his first Asia tour the newbie musician is looking forward to performing in three Indian cities — Delhi,Mumbai and Bangalore — as part of the Bacardi India Tour. “I heard some Indian music online before my visit. There are a lot of instruments to choose from,maybe I will try infusing some ‘desi beats’ in my future albums,” he said in an email interview.

Maya,who is a final year student at the National University of Music,Bucharest,is currently busy working on his next album Desert Rain. “I take inspiration from western classical music too since I am a student at the Conservatory of Music back home,” he adds.
