Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday reminded her party MLAs not to interfere into the affairs of administration and police. At a meeting of Trinamool legislative party held inside the Assembly,Banerjee said that she has instructed the administration and police to act in an impartial manner,and therefore there was no need for the MLAs to interfere into the administrations affairs.
The MLAs could bring into her notice about any allegations against the administration and police and she would take action, said a Trinamool MLA after the meeting.
Senior Trinamool leader and Industries minister Partha Chatterjee said todays meeting was an introductory one and was therefore attended by party MPs.
The chief minister also instructed the MLAs to take lesson on parliamentary procedure and practice. She directed the MLAs to come to the House one or half an hour before the beginning of the proceedings,said Chatterjee. Banerjee also instructed the MLAs to remain restrained during the House proceedings.
During the meeting,a section of the legislators sought Banerjees permission to highlight the problems and issues in their constituencies. To which,the chief minister told them to identify four burning issues of their areas and hand over the list to Chief Whip Sovon Chatterjee or the Deputy Leader of the House Partha Chatterjee.
