"There is a sustained and deliberate attempt to malign our government, our board exams, to show our state in poor light in the board exams conducted here. We have to be alert to such ploy by a certain section," Chatterjee said
"BJP leaders are making big statements from air-conditioned rooms. This is how they are trying to hog the limelight. They don’t speak in favour of the state. They don’t look at the interest of the people here," Chatterjee said.
"The English medium education will start in fifty to sixty state-run schools initially in Kolkata and other districts of West Bengal. The government will introduce gradually to other schools," said Partha Chatterjee
The order of indefinite suspension was issued after students had gheraoed Vice-Chancellor Dharani Dhar Patra for over 24 hours alleging they were attacked by outsiders inside the campus the previous night.
