The Opposition Congress and CPM on Monday contested Chief Minister Mamata Banerjees claim that West Bengal topped other states in respect of development.

It is totally to the contrary under Trinamool rule, Union Minister of state for Urban Development Deepa Dasmunsi said. WBPCC leader Om Prakash Mishra alleged that the Trinamool Congress government was one of announcements and programmes and had done nothing so far to develop the state economically and industrially.
