Parents lodge FIR against teacher
A teacher of a city school has been booked for allegedly failing a Class IV student after the latter refused to oblige to his demand for a laptop. Officer in-charge of Shakespeare Sarani police station Biswanath Saha said an FIR has been lodged and investigation initiated into the incident. The child’s father claims that he has text messages sent by the teacher to prove his claim.

Bangla for joint tiger census with India
Bangladesh has proposed a joint tiger census with India in the Sunderbans. “The tigers in the Sunderbans roam freely on both sides. There must be a joint tiger census,” said Environment and Forest Minister of Bangladesh Hasan Mahmud.
